A Strange Halloween Tale
Once upon a time there was a poor old witch who lived alone with her black cat, Boris. One dark Halloween night while practicing spells, she mistakenly conjured up a genie. The genie said, “I will grant you three wishes as your Halloween treat!”
The old witch thought about it for a minute and then said, “I wish I was rich instead of poor.” POOF!!! A million dollars appeared in front of her.
She thought some more and said, “I wish I was young and beautiful.” POOF!!! She was young and beautiful!
She thought for several minutes about her third wish and then she said, “I wish my wonderful cat, Boris, was a handsome young man instead of a cat.” POOF!!! Boris was a handsome young man!
The now young and beautiful witch could hardly believe her good luck and she exclaimed, “Oh, Boris, is that really you?” And the handsome young man said, “Yes, it is. And aren’t you sorry that you had me fixed?”
