We are the lucky owners of three cats.

Tigger
This is our oldest kitty, Tigger. Tigger is 13 years old and is a half-Siamese. He is very sweet and tolerant of other cats. He and Lapsang are best friends and sleep curled up together. Tigger is my special cat who stays by my side most of the day, following me from room to room. A lot of people think that cats are not good companions, but if they had a cat like Tigger, they would know better. My husband says that Tigger knows the sound of my car and when I pull up, Tigger goes to the front door and waits for me.

Lapsang
This is Lapsang. He is a full Siamese that I got from a breeder. He is 9 years old. He tends to be high strung and not very happy about noise, confusion, kids, and other cats (except for Tigger). So we have to compensate for this by giving him lots of attention at night after our son has gone to bed or when our son is at school. Lapsang is the only cat I know of who fetches. We throw a mouse and he runs down the hall to get it and brings it back to us. In the winter Lapsang likes to sleep under the covers at night.

Pippin
Pippin is our youngest cat at 5 years old. He was a stray that my husband found in the middle of the road at dusk one night. He got out of the car and tried to catch him but the kitten (only about 12 weeks old) ran away into the woods. I had to go to the spot where he was living in the woods twice a day with food for five days before I was able to lure him into a cat carrier. This was a pain because I was 8 months pregnant at the time. He was filthy – with mites, fleas, diarrhea, and worms. The plan was to take him to the vet and get him fixed up and then take him to the SPCA where someone would adopt him. But when we got him home and opened up the carrier and I put my hand in to take him out, he started purring and cuddling with us so my husband lobbied to keep him. He has turned out to be a great cat – he lets our son pick him up and carry him around and generally maul him.
The only problem is that he has turned out to be kind of a bully with the other cats. Tigger just shrugs him off but if Pippin pushes the issue, Tigger will make him back down. Lapsang, on the other hand, doesn’t care much for Pippin and screeches like a banshee if Pippin comes too close. But then other times, he will chase Pippin around the house and it seems like they are playing.
